Play-off's and the game just got serious!
Its big boys only from now on folks!
Here are the choices for this week:
Diamantidis He has been having a very up n down season but Diamantidis
is always there when the team needs a leader. And frankly I don't think there is something better after McCaleb, so he stays.
McCaleb Best PG of the season so far. I doubt that this will change against Olympiakos tonight.
Navarro His performance has shot up in the Top 16. La Bomba has many years experience and knows what the play-off mean. He is the natural choice.
Spanoulis Olympiacos' leader
this year. He knows it and I believe he will show it in a game where the Reds go with nothing to lose.
Langford has become the major scorer for Maccabi, he
averaged 16.8 rating in the Top 16 with 15 points per game. He plays against
Panathinaikos' good defence but he is the best thing 49 credits can buy.
Vasileiadis (Bojan Bogdanovic out) Why choose a player who plays against CSKA in Moskow? Well because strong defence, good passing game and shooting from beyond the arc is the best chance Bilbao has in this series and Kostas is one of the best for the job.
Hendrix His performance in the Top
16 has been impressive. PAO traditionally plays strong D but this year the void of Fotsis is very evident. Hendrix can do some damage.
Batiste I bring the old Mike in because he has the experience for such a game and because Macabbi is not famous for slow rhythms and good defence.
Krstic. He will be critical for the 1-0 against Bilbao. He will see a lot of minutes and is quite a few steps higher in class against Banic.
Kirilenko (Banic out). AK47 was out only temporarily. I was expecting a sub-average performance because of limited use by Kaslauskas. Arguably, no team should go without him from now on since his eyes are fixed on that trophy and this is the final sprint.
And the team now looks like this:
